This setting is designed to provide increased support for residents with memory care needs.

• Three meals a day in neighborhood dining areas plus 2 daily snacks
• Extensive recreational and socialization programs from morning to bedtime—designed to use long-term memory and create successes:
  • Four full time activity directors
  • Eight hours per day, seven days per week
  • Trips off campus for cultural programs, meal outings and inter-generational programs.
  • Link to activities calendars
• Up to 2 hours daily of personal care assistance, including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, medication reminders, prompting and cueing. These are provided by a team of 5 care aides and two nurses, daily.
• Regularly scheduled social outings
• Three activity venues available within Homestead plus multi-purpose room
• Hourly resident checks, 24-hours
• Beauty and barber shop
• Library and computer
• Religious services
• Personal laundry, linen service and housekeeping
• 1.5 acres of secure walking and gardening areas
• Monthly family support group.
• Judy Sabol, Program Director, provides one on one help to families before during and after the move to Homestead. She oversees program structure and goals.

Memory Care Admission criteria:
Residents must be diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia. Residents must be ambulatory, able to participate in some activities and be accepting of personal care.
