Creating a Leading Assisted Living Community

As a local non-profit, 501 (c)-(3) organization, we provide residents and families a unique, assisted living setting. We have no owners, so our bottom line becomes caring.

Members of our Board of Trustees are from the local community and are strongly committed volunteers. They are from towns like Sherborn, Sudbury, Framingham, Ashland, Wayland and Holliston and they have had their parents living with us in some cases.

Our Board of Trustees has helped shape a leading assisted living community which won the Gold Seal award for being the Best Designed Assisted Living Community in the US. Our philosophy is to provide superior resources and staff to benefit our residents. We typically exceed what a for-profit can provide in substantial ways. For example, we have 6 activities staff in our Classic setting.

In late 2007 we kicked off an exciting set of major building improvements to benefit our redisdents more than ever. These were completed in 2009. Since 2009 we continue to make substantial improvements and refurbish areas of our community.

In 2011 our Mary Ann Morse Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation facility saw the completion of a five million dollar improvement project. The project added a new cafe, library, patios and state of the art rehabilitation room (and the number of beds remained the same). Click to learn more about their expansion.

We continually invest in our facilities, programs, our employees and the community. We foster a community feel and are well integrated into the Nobscot neighborhood. Examples are, our partnership with Hemenway School, sponsorship of Concerts on the Green and appreciation of the firemen next door (including firemen recognition ceremonies, delivery of home baked cookies and pies sometimes!)
