About Homestead - Alzheimer's Care
Homestead at Heritage is a special program designed specifically for people with Alzheimer's disease or progressive memory impairments. Homestead helps residents to retain maximum independence through its award-winning design.
There are no long halls or hospital-like corridors at Homestead. The atmosphere is homey, free flowing and welcoming. All residents have access to expansive outside walking and gardening areas, surrounded by rustic stone walls and white picket fences.
Our specially trained caregivers have a clear understanding of memory disorders and how they affect our residents and their families. They are keenly aware of each resident's emotional and physical needs and meet regularly with family members to share ideas or concerns. They make every effort to make our residents feel safe, secure and content.
Every resident has a lifestyle plan that addresses his or her physical, psychosocial, and activity needs. These individualized plans are designed to foster self-esteem, independence, and a sense of accomplishment. We have 4 full time activity specialists who plan a rich assortment of activities. The links below show the depth of what we offer.
