About Heritage at Framingham &
MaryAnn Morse Healthcare Corp.
Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Corp. is comprised of Heritage at Framingham, and Mary Ann Morse Health Care Center. Our local non-profit provides a continuum of care for seniors. A volunteer Board of Trustees oversees both settings. Since Board members have their family members living in either setting, our focus is the best care (as opposed to making profits).
Heritage at Framingham
Heritage at Framingham is an award winning independent and assisted living community located in the northern part of Framingham called Nobscot.
Heritage was recognized by the National Council on Senior Housing as the best designed assisted living community in the United States. This award was given because of a variety of features that are specifically tailored to the distinct needs of residents in two settings:
- Classic Independent & Assisted Living
- Features promote independence and individuality
- Designed to encourage residents to engage in the community
- Activities use a variety of skills and meet a wide range of interests
- 4 budgeted activities staff serve just 60 residents
- Memory Care "Homestead"
- This setting is designed to aid navigation
- Independence is fostered for individual's abilities
- Staffing is increased to provide support whenever needed
- A larger menu of activities is provided—all activities utilize long term memory to offset the gaps in short-term memory.
- 4 budgeted activities staff serve 40 residents
Each setting is homelike with a multitude of windows. The ambience is often described as being like an inn with a variety of tasteful decor.
Our friendly and welcoming community is set within a local neighborhood. An elementary school next door offers opportunities for rewarding programs with students. A small shopping center offers residents and families convenience. Our community is busy with many enjoyable activities; from trips far and near, to on-site parties and entertainment.
