About Heritage at Framingham &
MaryAnn Morse Healthcare Corp.
Heritage at Framingham, and Mary Ann Morse Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center form a local non-profit called Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Corp. A volunteer Board of Trustees oversees both of our high quality care settings. Our focus is the best care - as opposed to making profits because there are no owners and Board members often have their family members living in either setting.
Heritage at Framingham
Heritage at Framingham is an award winning independent and assisted living community located in the northern part of Framingham call Nobscot. We provide senior living settings for various types of residents. One setting is for residents who need independent living services or traditional assisted living services. Another setting is specifically designed for residents needing memory care as a result of Alzheimer's disease or other form of dementia.
Heritage was recognized by the National Council on Senior Housing as the best designed assisted living community in the United States. The "Gold Award" was given because of a variety of features including a ground breaking concept of neighborhoods that are specifically tailored to the distinct needs of residents in the two settings:
- Classic Independent & Assisted Living
- Features allow for independence and individuality
- The setting is designed to encourage residents to engage in the community
- Activities use a variety of skills and meet a wide range of interests
- 6 Activities staff serve 60 residents
- Memory Care "Homestead"
- This setting is designed to aid navigation
- Independence is fostered to match an individual's abilities
- Staffing is increased to provide support whenever needed
- A larger menu of activities is provided—all activities utilize long term memory to offset the gaps in short-term memory.
- 4 Activities staff members serve 40 residents
No matter what setting, the environment is very homelike with a multitude of windows. The ambience is often described as being like an inn with a variety of tasteful decor.
We offer a friendly and welcoming community; set within a nice local neighborhood. An elementary school next door offers opportunities for rewarding programs with the students. A small shopping center nearby offers residents and families a convenient way to shop and bank. Our welcoming community is busy with many enjoyable activities; from trips far and near, to on-site parties for residents and their families.
